About me
„Ladislav’s own works are spun from captivating cadences that pay homage to the guitar literature of the last century.” (Concerto, Pat Youngspiel)
„One of the finest young European guitarists.” (Don Ross)
The worldwide success of well-known acoustic guitar masters proves that such modest instrument can inspire many fans of folk, pop, flamenco and neoclassical music. Ladislav Pazdera has devoted himself entirely to the world of acoustic guitar and belongs to the generation of musicians who grew up without genre boundaries. The spectrum of styles he manages to cover ranges from masterly fingerstyle technique to world music. His play is influenced by traditional sounds from Andalusia and Eastern Europe to Arab regions while incorporating the airiness of Brazilian music and the absolute precision of classical music.
Born in 1989 in the city of Pardubice, Ladislav learned to play the violin first, then the viola and at the age of 12, he switched to the acoustic guitar. After graduating from conservatory in Pardubice, he moved to Dresden where he studied at the Dresden University of Music Carl Maria von Weber. Since then, Ladislav has gained a considerable reputation beyond Germany’s borders. In 2019, he released the duo album Meraki with Dutch guitarist Karlijn Langendijk followed by his debut solo album Chiaroscuro in 2023. Both albums received a lot of recognition from the media:
„The sound and overall aesthetics of this music programme are at the highest level!”(Akustik Gitarre, Andreas Schulz on Chiaroscuro)
“Blend of stylistic fingerprints in exciting ways, using a variety of interesting techniques and fascinating progressions.” (Rhodium Publishing in New York on Meraki)
„Beautiful sound and wonderful technique that works perfectly across styles.” (Peter Bürli, formerly Swiss Radio and Television SRF on Chiaroscuro)
While the majority of the tracks on Chiaroscuro were written by Ladislav, in 2025 he released the EP pausetta featuring pieces by other composers. He percieves the EP as a snapshot, a kind of intermezzo on the way to the next album, which will once again feature his own music.
Ladislav divides his time between teaching and touring, various concert taking him to many European countries and renowned clubs, including Porgy & Bess (Vienna), Tribüne (Linz), Six Bars Jail (Florence), Die Tonne (Dresden) and many others.
