Türkiye visit & the first piece on a new album

I met with my friend Cenk Erdoğan, an incredible musician and composer (check him out!), who took wonderful care of me. He showed me around, introduced me to his family, and many interesting people. We ate great food in Kadiköy (oh, man, I miss that!) and also played some music. We recorded a piece for a guitar and a bowed tambur, which I wrote last summer and which is the first official recording on my next album, Mirage. He and his duo partner, Volkan Incüvez, also gave me the opportunity to play a couple of pieces at their concert in Bova (@), a nice jazz club in Taksim. The house was full, the audience really receptive and welcoming, and I also enjoyed listening to their music very much; it was a beautiful evening. I couldn’t have imagined a better way to end this year, already looking forward to the next one!
